‘We Need to Talk About Kevin’

We Need to Talk About Kevin is one of the best thrillers of all time. Legendary director Lynne Ramsay adapted the novel and masterfully builds tension in the film that leads to a horrifying finale. Tilda Swinton stars as Eva, an isolated woman who reflects on the years raising her now-convict son, Kevin (Ezra Miller).  As the film progresses, you discover what happened to Eva’s husband (John C. Reilly) and family, and the events that ultimately led to her downfall. The film is currently streaming on Peacock, so be prepared to be spooked!

‘Minimum Wage’

American High's popular web series Minimum Wage has transitioned over to Netflix, and I'm happy to report that the slightly longer episodes capture the short-form magic of the original online series. Starring Grace Reiter, Ryan Micho, Aidan Micho, Julia Dicesare, Luke Burke, Hyde Healy, Tommy Armstrong, and Randall Park, the ensemble workplace... Read more

‘Sacrifice’

While not without faults, I found the new Chris Evans movie on Netflix, Sacrifice, to be fascinating, thought-provoking, and fun. Directed by French filmmaker Romain Gravas, with a screenplay written by Gravas and Will Arbery, this dark comedy stars Evans as a fictional, image-obsessed movie star named Mike Tyler attempting to stage a comeback... ‘Nobody Wants This’ Season 3

Erin Foster's rom-com series Nobody Wants This, to me, is the equivalent of chicken soup, in that it's Jewish penicillin. Kristen Bell and Adam Brody's chemistry as podcaster Joanne and "hot rabbi" Noah has been heating up since Season 2 wrapped, bringing the lovebirds to new heights—and a new home!—together. Bell and Brody's performances are ... Read more

‘The Apothecary Diaries’ Season 3

The Apothecary Diaries Season 2 was my second-favorite show of 2025, landing smack in between #1 Andor and #3 The Pitt. So when I say I'm absolutely delighted that this genre-bending anime series is back on Crunchyroll, I'm actually underselling how good this show is. Based on the light novel series of the same name, The Apothecary Diaries follows ... Read more

‘Dancing With the Stars’ Dedication Night

Is there any more emotional night on TV than Dedication Night on Dancing With the Stars? I think not. While the show, overall, tends to be a little saccharine, Dedication Night is the mother of all tearjerkers, as the remaining contestants shout out someone special in their life, be it a family member or an entire country in Maura Higgins' case,... Norm Macdonald was a true one-of-one. Not only will viewers be treated to a thrilling adventure when they watch the Tenzing biopic on Apple TV, they’ll also receive a much-needed history lesson of an often-overlooked hero of mountaineering history.
