A user reports that the WordPress Plugins page remains stuck loading, the site becomes slower, and requests to codesnippets.pro return Cloudflare HTTP 522. They suspect a plugin request is waiting for the remote service.

Expected behavior

A remote service outage or timeout should not block WordPress administration or cause noticeable frontend degradation.

Investigation

• Identify all remote requests made while loading the affected admin screens.
• Reproduce the behavior with the remote service unavailable or slow.
• Verify request timeouts, asynchronous behavior, and failure handling.
• Add bounded timeouts or graceful degradation where required.
