Missing French translations since commit 7adf8ca #197

Open

Description

@julienlusson

Hi Paul,

Since commit 7adf8ca, Authorizer plugin isn't translated in French, because it seems that WP doesn't use the local translation files anymore, but only the translation available in https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/authorizer/

And I don't have access to add the missing translation.

The wordpress documentation is here :

    Got it, so sorry about that! I must have misread the documentation. I ran Plugin Check which said load_plugin_textdomain() was no longer needed.

    Will work on getting it fixed for the upcoming release

    For now I am going to restore the translations bundled with the plugin (the .po and .mo files that you have contributed here via GitHub pull requests). This will restore your existing translations when the new version is released shortly.

    Separately, I will request you as a "PTE" (Project Translation Editor) on translate.wordpress.org so you will be able to submit translations using that interface, if you so choose. I haven't compared the workflows (the old way, using POEdit to submit translations here on GitHub, or the "new" way, using translate.wordpress.org) so you can choose which works best for you.

    To make that request, is this your wordpress.org user?

    This is the guide I found for nominating PTEs:

    No problem! WordPress documentation is not crystal clear for a lot of stuff.

    For the WP profile, yes, it's mine.

    The new way is ok for me, and I've seen that I can upload po file (https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/handbook/translating/glotpress-translate-wordpress-org/poedit/), it'll be easier to import the full translation the first time and, after I'll use directly the website if the UI is fine (or use poeditor and upload again the file if not)!
