For site-wide controlling of avatars, please use WordPress native avatar settings in <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Dashboard &gt; Settings &gt; Discussions<\/span> admin page.<\/p>\n<p>Default Avatar<\/p>\n<p>Started from wpDiscuz 7 you can set default avatars for registered used and guests separately. Just upload those in Dashboard &gt; Media admin page, get the URL and insert in according options:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Default Avatar Source URL for Users<\/li>\n<li>Default Avatar Source URL for Guests<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Those avatars will be displayed for commenters who don&#8217;t have any avatar (Profile Avatar, Gravatar, etc&#8230;). By default, these avatars only enabled for comment system, using the &#8220;Enable Sitewide Usage of Default Avatars&#8221; option you can enable it site-wide.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #008080;\">Voting \/ Liking Buttons<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>There are four options to manage comment voting\/liking buttons:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Show Voting Buttons<\/li>\n<li>Voting Buttons Icon<\/li>\n<li>Comment Voting Result Mode<\/li>\n<li>Enable down vote button (dislike)<\/li>\n<li>Allow Guests to Vote for Comments<\/li>\n<li>Highlight Voting Buttons for Voters<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Guest votes are identified by the filtered visitor IP address. Guests sharing an IP address also share one voting identity. If WordPress or privacy software removes the visitor IP, guests must log in to vote even when guest voting is enabled.<\/p>\n<p>The wpdiscuz_deny_vote_from_same_ip filter controls whether a guest may vote on a comment posted from the same IP address. It runs during both comment rendering and AJAX vote handling. Returning false displays eligible voting buttons and permits the request, but guests sharing that IP still share one voting identity.<\/p>\n<p>Example:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>add_filter(&#8220;wpdiscuz_deny_vote_from_same_ip&#8221;, function ($denyVote, $comment, $userIP) {<br \/>\nreturn false;<br \/>\n}, 10, 3);<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Filter &#8220;wpdiscuz_show_vote&#8221;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It works only while comment voting is globally enabled.<\/li>\n<li>Returning false hides the complete voting component, including totals.<\/li>\n<li>It cannot expose registered self-vote buttons.<\/li>\n<li>It cannot override same-IP denial unless wpdiscuz_deny_vote_from_same_ip also relaxes that denial.<\/li>\n<li>Its incoming default is the global voting setting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Using the <span style=\"color: #800080;\">\u201cShow Voting Buttons\u201d<\/span> option, you can disable likes and dislikes on comments. It makes colored the like buttons, which were clicked by current user.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #008080;\">Show Comment Link<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Comment links are direct links to that comments. The link is copied in clipboard when you click on the link icon.
