**Buoyancy principle**

**Archimedes is known for which engineering principle?**

**Mechanical engineering**

**And in which branch of engineering would you study thermodynamics and fluid mechanics?**

You’ve got some knowledge, but you’re kinda floating between disciplines like a freshman who’s not sure if they want to do mechanical, electrical, or just go full physics nerd. Time to choose a path and dive in — maybe grab a thermodynamics textbook while you’re at it!

Undecided STEM Major 🔬📚

You know your stuff! You could definitely hold your own in a fluids lab, and you probably have at least one TI-84 calculator on standby. Your friends already ask you for help with MATLAB, and you give off “reluctant but reliable group project leader” energy. Keep it up!

Solid B in Engineering Mechanics ⚡🛠️

You eat differential equations for breakfast and dream in CAD models. Your backpack is basically a mobile electronics lab, and people assume you can fix anything (even though you’re still trying to explain that software engineering ≠ IT support). You’re destined for a six-figure starting salary — just don’t forget to actually sleep once in a while!

Objection: Chemical engineers also study thermodynamics and fluid mechanics. It's kind of hard to design a chemical process within a chemical plant if you don't have that knowledge.

Not the best written quiz. A Joule and a Newton-meter are the same thing.

How Much Random Engineering Major Knowledge Do You Have?

5/14
Not much, apparently.

Shut Up I am Mechanical Engineering major you dumb but beam doesn't resist bending if beam is simply supported then it will show bending stress or torsion
Ductile or brittle material for Ductile fracture strength is ultimate strength according to Hook's law stress proportional to strain u dumb*ss

I kinda disagree with #5 as a software engineer. AI is more software engineering than computer engineering although you could make the argument they're both relevant.

This quiz was kind of dumb. I was a bioengineering major. Most of the questions I got wrong were the ones that were about classifying engineers, which is actually not so straightforward and it can depend on where you go to school. If you want to study robotics, but the school you choose doesn't have a specific "robotics" major, you'd probably go with mechanical. Both chemical and thermal engineers use thermodynamics. Perhaps mechanical even does to an extent.

Stop making quizzes about things you don't know about, BuzzFeed 🙄

Most ridiculous quiz ever.

Machine Learning is technically data and applied math, it is encoded by computer engineers and software, doesn't make the subject change origins.
Thermodynamics is in many many fields and if there is something called thermal dynamics, it's certainly in that.
Many countries use aluminium wiring because it is cheaper.
Mechatronics sounds like a subject high school students are given. Robotics is seen as a discipline in electrical, mechanical or computer engineering.
Literally the whole point of arches is to take stress.

Some of them should be worded better because the answers could be more then one.

I scored 12/14 I knew 6 of them and guessed the rest by by eliminating the obvious wrong answers bring it to a 50/50 chance

I disagree with #5. I currently am about to finish my Masters in AI and have just applied for a PhD in Data Science and Engineering. Which basically a PhD in AI.
I go to classes with people from many backgrounds in Comp Sci. Computer engineering (from what I have understood) is more based on how a computer interacts with the hardware components. Every class I have taken has been taught that AI is all data science engineering. AI is basically taking mass amounts of data and training the computer to interact with the data given, to get a desired result.

They Say That Engineering Is The HARDEST College Major — Let’s See If You Could Pass An Engineering Test

One of the hardest majors is engineering — no matter the type of engineering. But you'd be surprised how much basic engineering knowledge you hold. Maybe you even have enough to pursue a study in the major yourself? Let's judge how strong your level of general engineering knowledge really is.
