The true and untold story of prolific rapper, actor, poet and activist Tupac Shakur (Demetrius Shipp Jr.), from his early days in New York to his status as one of the world's most recognized and influential voices. Against all odds, Shakur's raw talent, powerful lyrics and revolutionary mindset establish him as a cultural icon whose legacy continues to grow long after his death.

Critics Consensus

Despite Demetrius Shipp Jr.'s fine lead performance, All Eyez on Me is mostly a surface-skimming, by-the-numbers biopic of a larger-than-life icon.

Demetrius Shipp Jr bears an uncanny resemblance to Shakur but doesn't quite possess the star quality to outshine the script, which is leaden and flatly expositional.

How they managed to make a movie about a guy who went from poverty to fame to prison to fame again, before being shot five times and surviving, and then being shot four times and dying, into something as compelling as a tax return is anyone's guess.

All Eyez on Me attempts to reconcile an iconic figure with his very complex life. Its important commentary on race, however, gets overshadowed by technical problems.

Structurally the film has problems, but the movie finishes strong with Boom doing a good job of building some tension in the final moments leading up to the fatal Las Vegas drive-by shooting.

I feel like I'm watching people badly cosplaying Tupac's life in this patchy and overly dramatic biopic. The cast say Tupac every 1-2 minutes just in case you didn't know who a film called "All Eyez On Me" was about. The actor in the leading role really doesn't do Tupac justice in my opinion and is hard to take seriously. This film really doesn't go into much depth, it visits key events briefly but not enough to get anything of substance out of it. Overall I feel like they could have done a much better job than what they did, I won't be rushing to see this one again in a hurry.

All Eyez on Me is a biopic about Tupac Shakur. The movie follows his early childhood and being influenced by his parents' social activism as Black Panthers, and then his eventual downfall by his penchant for pride and violence. " He who lives by the sword will die by the sword." I really liked all of the performances that perfectly enraptured the mannerisms and even the voices of the titans of Hip Hop. Recommended

This movie was very good. 2pac was honored and embodied by a person of similar likeness. A great story of a true poet and artist. May his life, work, and skills be past on to the rest of the world 🌎, as they pick up the mantle to make it to the next transition in life, whatever it may be.
