Sergio Oct 20, 2025 Brilliant film. Must watch on the big screen. See more Mark H @Markle-Sparkle 2 days ago A truly great movie. The dialog is a perfect representation for the period it is set in. That amazes me. The superstitions and faith of the family destroyed them. A powerful lesson for the faith-filled of our time. This movie should be required viewing. Unfortunately, the ones who need to be affected by it, probably won't get it. Sad! Still, can’t say you’ll be rewarded for powering through. See more Myron D @RT59470047 Oct 2, 2026 SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!! Watching a horror movie every night this Halloween season. Glad I got this one out of the way, can only go up from here. I was deciding what to watch and this was rated high. My guess is the people rating it high were high. I can’t find one redeeming quality of this film. Slow and not fully explained story, zero character development, zero plot really. A father messes up, banished from his community, baby gets kidnapped, son disappears, sister gets blamed, mom starts to lose it, dad cries a bunch, everyone dies, sister floats into the trees. WTH was that? Clearly this director had motives but non of which make an even decent film. Just plain bad on every level. See more Colin M @RT37398633 Sep 30, 2026 I can’t count how many times I’ve watched this movie. It’s literally my favorite movie of all time. 10/10 spookies in all categories; scares, atmosphere, tone, writing. See more Joseph D @JRDzencelowcz Sep 29, 2026 A bit of a sit-through, but the atmosphere, tension, & performance by the whole cast, made for an intense experience. See more Read all reviews
