Mairimashita! Iruma-kun 4th Season

After finishing this season, I immediately got an urge to rewatch it all, that doesn't really happen to me but this is truly a piece of art far from anything else. From the start everything goes well, we get to know more characters and more about the characters we already love, we get to know much more about the demon world, its state and its elite. Iruma really makes much progress as a character with a really fulfilling ending of this season.

I have seen criticism about the several arcs that appeared to some as fillers but that's total nonsense. In this show, there is ... nothing like a filler episode, in each of them there are meaningful dialogues, interactions and indications that carry the story even if we don't really notice it at first. I understand it is an issue of personal preferences but for me this anime is perfect, it has everything I ever wanted it soars with so much positive energy, it actually makes my life so much better in the happiness and relief it brings, especially if you're going through difficult and stressful episodes of your life. I want to thank the creators for this masterpiece, it is truly a treasure of immense value, I really really hope we can get more seasons of this show.

I'm a big fan, and this is the first time I'm writing a review about this anime. The reason for that is because this season was below my expectations. I notice the show tries to fil in spots a lot instead of sticking to the main story and even sometime sneak 2 filler type episode in 1 episode. It's like they don't know how to drag out an episode of the main story or filler stories. My previous ratings for the other seasons were 10,9,7 and this will be a 5. The first season was so good that I don't want to miss what will ... happen next, but sometimes I wonder why I'm watching this anime. This is a good anime if it had over 200 episodes. Reason for that is because of My comparison of One Piece where there are heavy lows, but they hype of episode 200 will force you to stick around. It's like waiting for the next episode not knowing if the main story line will continue or not. In short this would have had a better review if they shrink the season into 13 episodes. You can see what I'm talking about in season 1 where they had 21 episodes, 23 for season 2, and 21 for season 3. In another short, I blame this on the director.

Iruma-kun is truly a waste of time.

For my old people in the crowd, this is very similar to Hayate No Gotoku. It's just a chain of meaningless episodes with a humour that is not that impacting. But it has that vibe of chill anime that you just end up watching anyway, just to pass the time.

Would I recommend this to anyone ? No. It has wonderful moments true, that are kind of the reason why it has good reputation. There is two, the first is when he transformed into a bad guy in season 2, the second is in this season, when they did ... the music festival.

Now, that's true that those arcs were quite good, they managed to really have the right climax on both, making those arcs feel really high quality. But first, besides those climax it was actually quite bland. The climax that happened is embellishing the arc. And that's fair, an ending will always embellish or dirty a writing work, that's why the ending is so important, we can see that with Code Geass or JJK.

But in retrospective, those arcs writing, besides the climaxes, was meh at best. And the rest of the series is really below those high points. You feel like you just wait for something that will never happen, because you saw those amazing climaxes, and feel like it will go back and stay at that high point of quality. It does not.

Iruma-kun is a basic anime with no real purpose, where they throw the demon lord name here and there to hype up a possible future climax and keep you hooked. It's the "Miyata VS Ippo" of anime, "Blueball, the anime". I don't recommend watching this.
