Fargo reveals first trailers for season 5

Fargo – the Noah Hawley series based on the Coen Brothers’ Oscar-winning feature film – is extremely good at hype. Before each series, the show’s US broadcasting home, FX, roll out a bunch of small, delicious amuse-bouches before the start of each series.

And now FX’s social teams have done it for season 5.

Juno Temple plays Dot Lyon, a Midwestern housewife who is suddenly plunged back into a life she thought she had left behind. Jon Hamm plays North Dakota sheriff Roy Tillman, who’s been on Dot’s trail for years, while Joe Keery plays Roy’s son Gator and Sam Spruell appears as enigmatic tracker Ole Munch.

David Rysdahl plays Dot’s husband Wayne, with Jennifer Jason Leigh also appearing as Wayne’s CEO mother Lorraine, who is unimpressed with her son’s choice in a wife and spares no opportunity to voice her disapproval. Dave Foley plays Lorraine’s in-house counsel and top advisor Danish Graves, with Lamorne Morris and Richa Moorjani as a pair of local cops who take note of Dot’s erratic behaviour.

The series will begin in the US on 21st November. No transmission details for the UK have been released yet.
