A Fascinating Script And A Detached Driver Are All Locke Needs To Be Transfixing

One of Tom Hardy's most prominent trait as an actor up to this point has been his tendency to do these highly exaggerated voices for some of his characters, such as his heavy Southern drawl in The Revenant, that deep frequently incoherent Venom voice or his iconic Bane voice. Many actors use different voices across different performances but what makes Hardy special is that he goes all-in on some really unique and odd vocal choices. Sure, numerous actors do both American and British accents in their careers, but how many have decided that a Bugs Bunny impression was just what the doctor ordered for a portrayal of Al Capone?

Deadpool Chows Down On Box Office Records Like They're Chimichangas In Record Breaking Opening Weekend

Prior to this weekend. everyone was fairly certain Deadpool would do large numbers at the box office, thanks to the lack of blockbusters in the marketplace and its incredible marketing campaign. But nobody saw it doing this kind of gargantuan record busting business, especially for a character who was previously seen as just a cult item. Leonardo DiCaprio Seizes The Box Office Again Amidst Snowy Weather And Raunchy Robert DeNiro Antics

A big o'l snowstorm left much of the country in a winter wonderland (meanwhile, down here in Texas, we're getting a high of sixty degrees today), closing many businesses, including movie theaters. The Revenant Review

Tales about the hostility of nature have existed in the spectrum of storytelling for an eternity a day, and the same goes for stories revolving around the concept of vengeance. The Revenant isn't the first motion picture to combine both concepts, and I can guarantee you it won't be the last. It does separate itself from the pack though by setting its plot in the 19th century, an era where man had come to inhabit numerous parts of America, but there was still much of the country uncharted by American individuals. This land was crawling with danger, animals ready to kill at a moments notice and Native Americans none too pleased with the concept of more white people invading on their turf.

Leonardo DiCaprio Gets Grizzly In The First Trailer For The Revenant

Coming hot off the heels of the not at all controversial motion picture Birdman, Alejandro González Iñárritu has a new movie coming out this Christmas called The Revenant. He's got a helluva cast lined up for the project (Leonardo DiCaprio stars and Tom Hardy and Domhnall Gleeson co-star) and I'm sure 20th Century Fox would love to replicate the Oscar success of Birdman here. Check out the first trailer for The Revenant below.
